High-Performance Wedge Design
The unique wedge geometry on the VH1730GX is engineered to shear wood fibers rather than force them apart — reducing resistance per cycle, lowering fuel consumption, and producing cleaner splits on cross-grain and knotty hardwood. The 8-inch high carbon steel construction resists deformation under repeated impact at full hydraulic pressure.
4-Stage Hydraulic Filtration + O-Ring Fittings
Suction strainer, breather cap air filter, return line filter, and magnetic drain plug eliminate metal particles and microcontaminants from the hydraulic circuit. O-ring fittings on the control valve reduce leak points versus standard threaded fittings. Industrial cylinder with Halite seals maintains consistent pressure throughout every split cycle.
