The Iron & Oak BHVH3018GXT is the premium version of the BHVH3018GX — same 30 tons of splitting force, same Honda GX270 and 16 GPM Hi-Lo 2-stage pump, but adding a torsion axle and engine guard as standard equipment. At 730 lbs. dry weight, it's the heaviest and most complete tow-behind splitter in the Iron & Oak lineup. Made in the USA.

Torsion Axle — Standard Equipment
The key upgrade over the BHVH3018GX is the torsion axle — standard on the GXT, optional or absent on lesser units. A torsion axle absorbs road shock independently at each wheel rather than transmitting it through a rigid beam to the frame and hydraulic components. For contractors towing a 730-lb. splitter on rough rural roads or gravel driveways regularly, this significantly reduces stress on the frame welds, hydraulic fittings, and cylinder mounts over the life of the machine. Engine guard is also standard — protecting the Honda GX270 from debris and impact during transport.
30 Tons — 12-Second Cycle Time
Same performance platform as the BHVH3018GX — Honda GX270, 16 GPM Hi-Lo 2-stage pump, 4.5-inch cylinder, 12-second cycle time. At 3,500 PSI the Hi-Lo pump delivers high flow for fast cylinder extension then automatically shifts to high pressure at contact for full 30-ton splitting force. For large-diameter hardwood and commercial firewood volume, this is the top of the Iron & Oak tow-behind range.
Made in the USA — Full Commercial Spec
At 730 lbs. dry weight with a 10.5-gallon hydraulic system, the BHVH3018GXT runs cooler and handles sustained load better than lighter units. 4-stage hydraulic filtration, Halite commercial cylinder seals, offset valve, auto latch beam lock, enhanced position handle, heavy-duty 5-bolt wedge, log dislodger, log cradle, larger jack wheel, and tow cables all standard. Nothing to add — this unit ships complete.
