Unlike hydraulic-feed commercial chippers, the FC400 uses a gravity self-feed system through a 9.85 in. x 9.85 in. diamond-shaped chute. Feed material in, gravity and the rotating disc pull it through — fewer moving parts, less to maintain, lower cost of entry. The factory-balanced rotor with four reversible heat-treated chipping blades reduces vibration and extends blade life — flip each blade to a fresh edge instead of replacing it.
Adjustable Discharge Chute
The discharge chute adjusts to direct chips into a dump trailer or truck bed, keeping cleanup minimal. For ground-level discharge instead, the optional ground discharge chute (GWG311756) keeps chips low and contained rather than scattered. An optional 2-wheel kit (GWG311755) is also available for easier hauling around larger properties.
